Colombia travel expert and freelance writer. As seen on CNN, El Espectador, Bradt Travel Guides, and Colombia Travel Blog.
I am a travel writer specialising in Colombia, the country that I have called home for more than five years. During my time in Colombia, I have travelled to all 32 of the country's departments. I have an extensive knowledge of Colombia's geography, culture, biodiversity, and travel destinations and I have written about my adopted homeland for a variety of publications including Bradt Travel Guides, World Nomads, Culture Trip, Colombia Travel Blog, The Bogota Post, and ColombiaSavvy. I speak fluent Spanish and have a Master's Degree in Latin American Cultural Studies. My passions include birding, coffee, and, of course, exploring Colombia.
My writing about Colombia has featured in a variety of print and online publications. I worked as the editor of the Colombia Travel Blog for three years. My articles, which you can read here, introduced hundreds of thousands of readers to the magic of travelling in Colombia.
I wrote several chapters of the new Bradt Travel Guide to Colombia and contributed to the Colombia Insider's Guide by World Nomads.
I was a regular travel columnist for The Bogota Post newspaper: my 'Off The Beaten Track' column focused on my experiences exploring lesser-known corners of Colombia. I am currently editing ColombiaSavvy, where I produce long-form travel and culture pieces.
My extensive knowledge of travelling in Colombia has led to several notable media appearances, including CNN's #MyColombia documentary, which aired worldwide in July 2018. I have also been profiled by El Espectador newspaper, and my Colombia photos have appeared in El Tiempo, Semana, Rock and Ice Magazine, and on CNN.
Thanks for visiting my page and I look forward to seeing you in Colombia!
